From tomorrow, there will be a popup window offering the edition 3.6 of this tool.
The favorable reception of this release is evidenced by over 100 million people have downloaded the application after its launch in mid January this year.
However, a number of browser users still have older versions of the application so the firm decided to create a popup window that activates after 10 minutes of inactivity on the system. There, the user must decide whether to download the version immediately, or not to postpone the invitation.
One reason why some people prefer to continue using Firefox 3 or Firefox 3.5 is that the new version generates uncertainty about the level of compatibility with add-ons that have worked in their predecessors.
In this regard, Mozilla clarifies that 90 of these will work seamlessly with the edition 3.6 of the browser and adds that there are tools like MR Tech Toolkit or Nightly Tester Tools to ‘force’ compliance, although that could generate instability.
