Jailbreaking mobile devices is now LEGAL!

Jailbreaking your iPhone or other mobile device will no longer violate federal copyright law, the U.S. Copyright Office ruled Monday.

The decision, part of a process that takes place every three years, said that bypassing a manufacturer’s protection mechanisms to allow “handsets to execute software applications” is permissible.

The iPhone 4 arriving at 17 more countries this Friday!

On July 30, the new phone will arrive at in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. The iPhone 4 will be sold through Apple’s retail and online stores as well as authorized resellers.

India created a touch computer that costs USD$35

The equipment costs just $ 35 and its developers plan to reduce the value to $ 10.

The Minister of Human Resource Development of India, Kapil Sibal, introduced this week the low-cost machine designed for students, and said his ministry began negotiations with global manufacturers to start mass production.

Youtube redesigns the mobile site!

Youtube has modified it’s mobile website hoping that users will use the browser rather than native applications.

The company will unveil the new design at m.youtube.com this afternoon, said Andrey Doronichev, product manager for YouTube Mobile, during a briefing Wednesday morning at YouTube’s headquarters. The main idea is to replicate the desktop PC-based YouTube experience in the mobile browser, or to at least get as close as possible, he said.

The .xxx domain was approved

The Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) approved formally introducing the Internet domain .”Xxx”, designed to facilitate the identification of web pages with pornographic content. ICANN, a private U.S. nonprofit that coordinates domains, IP addresses and internet protocols worldwide, today gave its approval to the new domain, which will now be negotiated with the promoter of this initiative, the International Foundation for Online Responsibility (IFFOR).

Thus, the new legislation includes access to broadband in the list of basic communication services must reach all corners of the country, with others such as telephone or postal mail. “From now on, broadband connection at a reasonable price is a fundamental right in Finland. Microsoft’s annual E3 press conference had a big surprise in store for them…The Xbox 360 is getting a slimmer, angular new look, and an internal redesign that’ll reduce noise and add much-wanted new features — and it’ll be in stores as soon as this week. Packing a black-finished case with prominent cooling vents, the new machine — nicknamed the Xbox “Slim” by fans — will retail for $299, the same price as the current 120 GB Xbox 360 Elite system. The new iPhone OS 4 coming the summer!

The technology group Apple introduced the fourth generation of the iPhone operating system for OS4, enabling simultaneous work on the popular mobile phone and computer in the new IPAD. At an event for programmers and reporters at the company headquarters in Cupertino, California, co-founder and CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs showed the new software will be available for the iPhone this summer and fall for the IPAD.
